Q. What type of groups will you accommodate?
A. We welcome all groups to Simply Sisters. From quilters and scrapbookers, to girlfriend get-aways, groom suppers, small family weddings or reunions.
Q. How does a retreat work at Simply Sisters?
A. A group or individual can reserve and coordinate their own retreat while staying at Simply Sisters.
A few examples are: a scrapbooking or quilting instructor/business can have a retreat to demonstrate new techniques; a religious group can have a spiritual retreat; or a retreat can simply be a getaway for a family or a group of friends.
Q. Where are you located?
A. We are located at 58 Ivy Ave., NE in Richmond, MN which is 1.5 hours northwest of the Twin Cities.
Take I-94 West from the Twin Cities. Take State Hwy. 23 exit and go west 14 miles to Richmond. Go past the stoplights and watertower and take the first right on Ivy Ave. SE. Go north on Ivy Ave. six blocks, across Main Street, and it turns into Ivy Ave. NE. Go one more block and Simply Sisters will be on the right side of the street, diagonal from the church.
Q. What are the sleeping arrangements?

Q. Are the work areas well lit?
A. Yes, both areas are well lit with ceiling fluorescent light fixtures as well as individual desk lamps for each guest. Additional floor lamps are available.
Q. Can we book a week-day stay?
A. Yes, Simply Sisters is available for bookings seven days a week. Check-in and check-out times may need to be slightly adjusted if a back-to-back booking occurs.
Q. What are our meal options?
A. Your group is invited to provide their own meals. The full service kitchen will have everything you need to prepare your meals. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, commercial-size refrigerator, separate freezer, microwave and gourmet cooking essentials such as a crock pot, toaster, two coffee pots, blender, pots and pans, skillet, cookie sheets and cake pans, serving dishes, coffee, tea, and much more.

We also provide you with a list of local restaurants, from pizza delivery, local cafes, to family restaurants and supper clubs.
Q. What is the Check-In and Check-Out time?
A. Check-In Time: 10:00 AM / Check-Out Time: 3:00 PM. These times may be flexible upon request.
Q. Is smoking allowed inside the house? Are pets allowed?
A. We are a non-smoking house. We also do not allow any pets inside of the house.
Q. What do we need to bring?
A. We will provide linens, towels and pillows for each guest. We also provide all of your basic cooking supplies, as well as coffee, tea, some basic staples and spices. You need only provide your personal necessities and any food and beverages that you would like to enjoy during your stay.
Q. How do you access the work area?
A. The work area is located on the main floor, right off the kitchen.
Q. What is there to do in the area?
A. Richmond is next to the Chain of Lakes of central Minnesota with prime fishing all year long. Activities include a public swimming beach, concerts in the park, bowling, bike trails, and a tennis court are right down the street. Four public golf courses within 20 minutes and several cafes, restaurants, speciality shops, and a movie theatre are within 10 minutes. Ice fishing and snowmobile trails are nearby for great winter fun.
If you're searching for peace and quiet, white wicker chairs await for you on the open front porch, the cozy reading nook on the second floor, or the comfortable living room to relax with a book or your favorite movie. Wireless internet is available for digital scrapbookers or for researching a tasty recipe.
Q. Are there any quilting or scrapbooking stores in the area?
A. Crafts Direct, Michaels, JoAnn Fabrics, and Gruber's Quilt Shop are located in St. Cloud, about 20 minutes from Simply Sisters Retreat Center. Travel west on State Hwy. 23 for 15 minutes and visit Sweetwater Cotton Shoppe in Paynesville.
